Zelma Gibb (96 yrs of age), loving mother & wife, passed away at 9.21pm on Wednesday May 26th, at St Andrews Hospital (Toowoomba), from complications related to myeloma cancer.
Zelma was the 2nd eldest child of Oswald John Phifer and Olive (nee) White, Graziers from Uralla NSW. She met and married John Gibb ,the son of sugar cane farm hand - William Alexander Stephen Gibb & Isabella Smart (nee) Fairweather, from Cairns, on December 27th 1952, in Brisbane.
Following John's graduation as a Vet, they spent many years together living in the rural town of Cunnamulla, before returning to Brisbane and settling in Aspley to start a family. Following their retirement, they moved to Gympie and spent much of their time traveling throughout Australia as well as many parts of the US and Europe/Asia.
Following the passing of her husband, Zelma settled in Toowoomba to be closer to family.
Zelma is survived by her sons Jason & Dallas, daughter in law - Cherie and her grandchildren (Geoffrey, Charles and Olivia).
A life filled with many adventures, hardships and blessings.
